Hearing was held in Jharkhand High Court on Wednesday regarding JSSC-CGL paper leak. The court refused to lift the stay and asked when the investigation in the case would be completed. The Government said that it would take one month. On which the court has scheduled the next hearing on 7 May.
Hearing was held in the court of Chief Justice MMS Ramachandra Rao and Justice Deepak Roshan. During the hearing, the state government filed an affidavit and said that prima facie the allegation of paper leak is baseless. According to the facts that have come out in the investigation so far, only rumors of paper leak were spread.
On behalf of the Government, the Advocate General demanded the court to lift the ban on releasing the results. On which the court refused to lift the stay and asked when the investigation in the case would be completed. The Government said that it would take one month. On which the court has scheduled the next hearing on 7 May. After this hearing, it can be decided whether the exam will be conducted again or its results will be released.
The JSSC-CGL exam was conducted on September 21 and September 22, 2024. After the examination, allegations of paper leak came to the fore, which raised questions on its purity. The candidates had demanded cancellation of the exam and a CBI inquiry. At present, the CID is investigating this case.
The Government lawyer had sought 4 weeks' time in the last hearing. After this, the date of the next hearing was fixed as March 26, which is happening today. Jharkhand CID will present information related to the investigation in the court today. If the allegations of paper leak are proved, then the exam can be canceled and it can be ordered to be held again. On the other hand, if the allegations are found to be baseless, then the exam results can be released.
