Indore Rural IG convenes crime review meet

A division level crime review meeting was held in the office by Anurag, Inspector General of Police, Rural Zone, Indore. In which DIG Indore Rural Range -  Nimish Agarwal, DIG Nimar Range - Siddharth Bahuguna and Superintendents of Police of all the districts of the zone including Indore (Rural) SP -  Hitika Vasal, Dhar SP-  Manoj Kumar Singh, Jhabua SP Padmavilochan Shukla, Alirajpur SP-  Rajesh Vyas, Khandwa SP-  Manoj Rai, Khargone SP-  Dharmaraj Meena, Barwani SP-  Jagdish Dabar, Burhanpur SP -  Devendra Patidar were present. In the review meeting, IG  Anurag reviewed the crimes committed in the year 2024 in each district of the zone point-wise.

He reviewed body related crimes, property related crimes, identified crimes, pending cases of crimes related to women, cyber fraud cases etc. and gave necessary instructions for their resolution.

He Directed the Superintendents of Police to make fresh efforts to trace such crimes of murder and robbery in which the criminals have not been identified till now. Instructed to make special efforts for investigation in burglary crimes.

Property related criminals should be regularly investigated so that crimes like theft, burglary, robbery etc. can be controlled.

To prevent theft of two-wheelers and four-wheelers, police patrolling should be done regularly in the market. At the places where thefts mostly take place, it should be seen that CCTV cameras are in working condition.

In crimes related to women, proceedings should be completed within the time limit as per the instructions of the government and challan should be presented and the accused should be punished, and the percentage of conviction was increased by monitoring the crimes pending in the court.

 In order to search for missing persons, especially missing girls, it was instructed to take information again from the family members and make efforts for investigation afresh.

To operate the National Cyber ??Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) at the police station level, cyber cells have been formed at the police stations and technically skilled constables have been deployed.

Instructions were given to register cyber related complaints at the police station level itself, register the complaint on the NCRP portal and take necessary action to hold the amount in the fraud. Also, instructions were given to spread awareness so that the victim should come to the police station immediately in case of fraud. In cases of cyber fraud where the complaint is lodged immediately, the victim has a higher chance of getting back the amount lost in the fraud after being held. Action should be taken on priority in cyber cases.

Instructions were given to review the proclaimed offenders and run a campaign to catch them and make special efforts.

Necessary instructions were given to take strict action against illegal cow transportation and organized criminals.

ns were given to destroy the liquor seized in police stations as per rules.

Instructions were given to take 100% fingerprints of criminals caught in police stations and criminals convicted by the court and to update their records on the NEFIS portal.

 

Action of jail term should be taken against habitual accused in cases of NDPS, Arms Act etc.

 

Effective action should be taken by doing priority monitoring in the cases of identified cases.
