Passengers on IndiGo flight E6-2172 from Delhi to Bhopal were left frustrated on Tuesday evening after arriving at Raja Bhoj Airport without their check-in luggage. The incident affected around 15 passengers, as their bags were inadvertently left behind in Delhi.
The flight, which was delayed by nearly an hour, departed from Delhi at 4:45 PM and landed in Bhopal around 5:55 PM. However, upon arrival, several passengers discovered that their luggage had not arrived with them.
According to an official statement from IndiGo Airlines, the lapse occurred due to ongoing construction work at Delhi airport's terminal, which disrupted baggage handling and loading procedures across multiple flights. The airline issued an advisory to passengers explaining the cause and assured that the issue was being addressed.
Bhopal Airport Director Ramji Awasthi confirmed that 10 to 15 passengers were affected, and steps were being taken to ensure that their luggage would be delivered to them promptly. IndiGo has assured passengers that their luggage will reach Bhopal either late Tuesday night or by Wednesday morning.
