Rain accompanied with thunderstorms and lighting is being predicted for 13 districts across Jharkhand from April 2 onwards and The Meteorological Centre, Ranchi has also issued an orange alert in this regard.
The information shared by The MET Centre, Ranchi stated a warning for the districts of Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Koderma, Hazaribag, Latehar, Lohardaga, Ramgarh, Ranchi, Khunti, Gumla, Simdega and West Singhbhum. Thunderstorms and lighting activity as well as strong winds with a speed of around 40 to 50 km per hour are being expected in these areas.
Southern parts of the State and the adjoining central regions are predicted to witness hailstorm, thunderstorm and lighting along with gusty winds with a speed of approximately 50 to 60 km per hour on April 3 while the north western and north central regions are likely to face thunderstorm and winds of speed 40 to 50 km per hour. The bulletin highlighted this with an orange alert.
For April 4, an orange has been issued for the districts of Gumla, Simdega, West Singhbhum, Khunti, Ranchi, Ramgarh, Hazaribag, Giridih, Dhanbad, Bokaro, Saraikela- Kharsawan, East Singhbhum, Jamtara, Deoghar, Dumka, Pakur, Godda and Sabihganj as these areas may be affected and are likely to experience thunderstorm, lighting as well as winds of speed around 40 to 50 km per hour.
As per the bulletin released on Tuesday evening, the maximum temperature in the last 24 hours was recorded in Bokaro at 39.5 degree Celsius which is 2.3 notches above normal. This was followed by Pakur at 38.9 degree Celsius while Daltonganj and Jamshedpur were observed at 38.2 Degree Celsius. The maximum temperature in Chaibasa was recorded at 37.4 degree Celsius while in the State capital it was 34.4 degree Celsius.
The minimum temperature in Ranchi was recorded at 18.2 degree Celsius which is 1.3 notches below normal whereas Daltonganj was 2.9 degrees below normal at 16.9 degree Celsius. The night time temperature in Jamshedpur and Chaibasa was 23.2 and 24.3 degree Celsius which is 1.5 and 1.6 degrees above normal respectively. Bokaro was 1.1 degrees below normal at 16.6 degree Celsius.
On April 2, the maximum temperature in Ranchi is expected to be around 36 degree Celsius while on April 4 it is predicted to be 34 degree Celsius. The night time temperature in the State capital and its surrounding areas from April 2 to April 5 is predicted to be 21 degree Celsius.
