Hunt for BJP State president has intensified as many names are doing round. Who will get the command of Jharkhand BJP is a matter of discussion these days. Many names are being speculated. These include the names of former Chief Minister Raghubar Das, MP Vidyut Varan Mahto, Manish Jaiswal and Aditya Sahu. There are many names being discussed in the state BJP about these big leaders of the party. Amidst all this, the organization is somehow running under the leadership of Babulal Marandi, who is handling the responsibility of BJP state president as well as leader of opposition. When Ranchi BJP MP and Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth was asked about this issue, he was seen giving evasive answers. He says that the central leadership of the party will take a decision regarding the new state president.
After the membership campaign of Jharkhand BJP ended on 31 January, the party had decided to hold the election of booth, mandal and district presidents from 1 February. The situation is such that despite two months having passed, booth and mandal level committees have not been formed. After the booth and mandal committees are formed, the district committee will be formed. As per the constitutional system of the party, the process of electing the state president can begin after organisational elections are held in 50% of the districts.
On the delay in completion of organisational elections, BJP media in-charge Shiv Pujan Pathak says that this process is going on in the districts. Although there has been a slight delay, but everything will be done on time. He denied that the selection of the state president was based on any particular caste and said that the party believes in omnipresent, all-inclusive and all-touching. Under which all sections and castes of the society are taken care of. In such a situation, it is not right to say that the state president will be elected on any caste line.
However, the BJP, which is busy creating a new organisational structure in the state through the organisation festival, has still not recovered from the assembly election results. This is the reason that the enthusiasm that should be seen in the organisation festival is not visible inside the party.
