In the presence of Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, 'Himachal Pradesh Foundation Day Celebration' was organised with fervour at Raj Bhawan, Ranchi on Tuesday. On this occasion, citizens of Himachal Pradesh residing in Jharkhand were present. Addressing the function, the Governor wished everyone a Happy Himachal Pradesh Foundation Day. He said that Himachal is not only known for its natural beauty and spiritual heritage, but this state is also imbued with the spirit of valor, service and patriotism. He said that Himachal Pradesh is not only 'Devbhoomi', but is a land where simple, hardworking and patriotic people have played an exemplary role in establishing India as a self-reliant and strong nation. He also mentioned that Himachal has achieved significant achievements in areas like education, health, women empowerment, cleanliness, green energy and organic farming. Himachal Pradesh has now made its distinct identity on the global map in terms of tourism too. The Governor said that under the visionary leadership of the Prime Minister, continuous efforts are being made to develop Himachal Pradesh as a 'Green State' and 'Organic Agriculture Hub', which is an inspiring initiative towards sustainable development and environmental balance. He emphasized that such events under the 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' initiative further strengthen the spirit of mutual harmony, cultural exchange and national unity. Delivering the welcome address on this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary to the Governor, Dr. Nitin Kulkarni said that under the 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' campaign, Raj Bhavan celebrates the foundation day of various states, which promotes national unity, harmony and shared cultural heritage. Describing Himachal Pradesh as rich in natural and cultural terms, he called it a unique place for tourists.
