Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday announced that the state government has prepared a project to set up a large oil mill in Kurukshetra and Asia’s biggest oil mill in Rewari and Narnaul. The project aims to benefit lakhs of mustard farmers across Haryana by ensuring that their crops are procured at the Minimum Support Price (MSP). “Haryana is the first state in the country where all farmers' crops are being bought at MSP,” Saini said, while addressing a gathering in Samani village during the ‘Mann Ki Baat’ programme.
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in the 120th episode of ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ congratulated the players of Khelo India Para Games. Haryana athletes dominated the event, winning a total of 104 medals — 34 gold, 39 silver, and 31 bronze. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of water conservation and announced that ‘International Yoga Day 2025’ will be celebrated with the theme ‘Yoga for One Earth, One Health.’
Extending his New Year Nav Samvat greetings, CM Saini announced a grant of ₹21 lakh for development projects in Samani village. He assured the public that Haryana’s development will progress at triple the speed, following Prime Minister Modi’s vision of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Prayas, Sabka Vishwas’.
Highlighting the recently passed state budget, the Chief Minister asserted that funds have been equitably distributed to ensure holistic progress. The government has decided to allot houses older than 20 years on Panchayat land to residents at 2004 collector rates. Similarly, thousands of farmers have been granted ownership rights on kasat land at the same collector rate. Additionally, under the Rs 500 gas cylinder scheme, 17 lakh beneficiaries have received subsidized LPG connections.
Haryana Government is actively promoting water conservation. Under the ‘Catch the Rain’ campaign, 2,000 ponds have already been built across the state, and 2,200 more are planned. Farmers are being encouraged to collect rainwater on their fields and village lands to recharge groundwater levels. Saini also urged Haryana’s farmers, particularly in regions with higher crop yields, to adopt drip irrigation and construct farm ponds under the Atal Bhujal Yojana.
The state government has proposed a plan to the Union Jal Shakti Ministry to construct ponds under Atal Bhujal Yojana to bring 86 dark zones out of water scarcity. The proposal has been approved by the Union government.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY), Haryana received 77,000 applications for housing benefits. Of these, Rs 151 crore has been transferred to 36,000 applicants, with funds for the remaining 41,000 to be disbursed soon. The CM also confirmed that further surveys are underway to ensure more people benefit from the scheme.

Assuring full support for the development of Tatka village, Chief Minister Saini said that the state government has already allocated Rs 1.52 crore for various projects. During his visit, he transferred an additional Rs 21 lakh to the village panchayat’s account and promised to fulfill all demands raised by the Sarpanch.
Saini also announced that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Haryana on April 14 to mark Dr BR Ambedkar’s Jayanti. During his visit, PM Modi will inaugurate the Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar and lay the foundation stone for an 800 MW Super Thermal Power Project in Yamunanagar, with an investment of Rs 7,272 crore.
