The Central Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (CGPC), under the leadership of Sardar Bhagwan Singh, has successfully fulfilled its promise of providing quality education and healthcare to the community, marking two golden years of service. On Saturday, CGPC inaugurated the Guru Ramdas Bhalaai Kendra and Sikh Wisdom Academy, both dedicated to the service of the Sangat, at a grand event attended by dignitaries and members of the Sikh community.
The event was graced by Sardar Gurpreet Singh, Director of the world-renowned Manukhta Di Seva Society, who praised the CGPC's efforts. "Education and health are fundamental human needs, and CGPC has set a benchmark in fulfilling its social responsibilities. This initiative is a testament to their commitment to community welfare," said Gurpreet Singh. He emphasized the importance of extending similar initiatives to other states and expressed hope for further collaboration.
Sardar Bhagwan Singh, the current head of CGPC, shared his reflections on the committee's accomplishments over the past two years. "Our commitment to development and national unity has driven every initiative. From establishing the Sikh Wisdom Academy Coaching to launching Guru Ramdas Bhalaai Kendra, we have taken historic steps to empower our community," he said.
The Sikh Wisdom Academy offers free coaching to children, building an educated and empowered society. Meanwhile, the Guru Ramdas Bhalaai Kendra provides free healthcare services, ensuring accessible treatment for all. Doctors, including Dr. Amarjit Singh Datwal, Dr. Harpreet Singh, and Dr. Rajdeep Kaur, among others, will serve patients seven days a week.
Milestones in Development and Social Welfare. CGPC has made remarkable strides, including: Organizing religious and sports programs. Conducting blood donation and eye check-up camps.Facilitating Aadhaar, PAN card, and old-age pension camps.
- Establishing the Gurbani Kirtan Teaching Center, where students learn raga-based kirtan.
The committee has also implemented significant measures, such as increasing honorariums for Granthis and Sevadars and streamlining rules for Gurdwara visits and Anand Karaj ceremonies.
General Secretary Amarjit Singh and other committee members expressed gratitude to the Sangat for their unwavering support. "The community's blessings and our team's hard work have enabled us to achieve so much in such a short time," said General Secretary Gurcharan Singh Billa. He assured continued development in the years to come.
Social worker Shivshankar Singh and other dignitaries lauded CGPC's efforts, highlighting the importance of education and healthcare as cornerstones.
The event concluded with heartfelt thanks from Sardar Bhagwan Singh, who reiterated the importance of Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s teachings on selfless service. "Guru Nanak Dev Ji emphasized not just food langar but also the langar of education and health. We are committed to upholding these principles and serving humanity," he said.
