Vedanta ESL successfully concluded its “V for Society” Employee Volunteering Week, reinforcing its commitment to sustainability and community welfare. Over 50 ESL employees engaged in various social initiatives, including a cloth distribution drive, plantation efforts, mural painting, digital literacy sessions, and arts and crafts workshops.
As part of the initiative, employees contributed to community upliftment by painting a hut for local farmers at Wadi Farm, conducting digital and financial literacy sessions for Skill School youth and Project Jivika women, and collaborating with students at Prerna Drawing Center on creative projects. Additionally, 100 saplings were planted at Wadi fields, and essential clothing items were distributed to underprivileged communities.
ESL’s CSR Head, Kunal Daripa, highlighted that the initiative not only benefits communities but also nurtures employees’ leadership and teamwork skills while fostering a culture of compassion. Vedanta ESL, a leading steel manufacturer in Jharkhand, continues to drive sustainable development while maintaining high environmental standards.
