Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has urged voluntary organizations associated with the Jan Abhiyan Parishad, Prasfutan Committees, and Navankur Institutions to encourage farmers to install solar pumps, making them self-reliant in energy. Additionally, he emphasized promoting cow rearing to increase farmers' income. He directed that both activities should be implemented as statewide campaigns.
Dr. Yadav highlighted that rural areas are continuously affected by severe diseases like cancer. Hence, farmers must be made aware of the dangers of using chemical fertilizers and pesticides. He instructed the Parishad to promote natural and renewable farming. The Jan Abhiyan Parishad can contribute in these areas by working towards energy, water, and environmental conservation, as well as better health and skill development.
The 15th meeting of the Executive Committee of Madhya Pradesh Jan Abhiyan Parishad was held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav at Samatva Bhavan, the Chief Minister’s residence. The meeting was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Shri Jagdish Deora, Vice President of Jan Abhiyan Parishad Shri Mohan Nagar, Additional Chief Secretary Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, Shri Mohammad Suleman, and other concerned officials.
Dr. Yadav stressed the importance of making the "Jal Ganga Abhiyan" a people's movement, with the Jan Abhiyan Parishad playing a key role. He directed the Parishad to actively collaborate with the Panchayat and Rural Development Department to raise awareness at the village level. He also emphasized the need to promote millet cultivation and oilseed farming under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision.
During the meeting, a progress report was presented on the training of Navankur institutions, the Chief Minister’s Community Leadership Development Program, and various developmental and vocational training initiatives. Additionally, discussions were held on the administrative and managerial aspects of the Parishad.
On this occasion, Chief Minister Dr. Yadav released the Personality Development and Character Building booklet under the Community Leadership Development Program, in collaboration with Mahatma Gandhi Chitrakoot Gramodaya University. He also unveiled the Divisional Review Report 2024-25 of the Jan Abhiyan Parishad and a booklet titled The World of Voluntary Organizations.
To prevent deaths caused by snakebites, an MoU was signed between the government and the Snake Research Organization, Ujjain, in the presence of Chief Minister Yadav. This initiative aims at providing training to home guards, youth, and interested individuals in snake handling and first aid. As a result, every police station in the state will have a trained individual available for snakebite prevention and response.
