Efforts on to make better environment for sports in State: CM

The team of Yuwa India Trust met Chief Minister Hemant Soren and MLA Kalpana Soren today at the Chief Minister's Residential Office. They apprised the Chief Minister of the programs being run for the education of poor girls, life skill program and football training in Ormanjhi of Ranchi district. The CM said that our government is running many schemes for the better future of girls. The government is ready to cooperate at every step so that the girls here move forward and achieve a position. He appreciated the efforts being made by the trust to identify and hone the sports talent of girls living in a small area like Ormanjhi.

The CM said that the strength of Jharkhand is sports. The players here have made the state proud with their talent and performance in various sports. Our government is constantly taking steps to promote sports and players. Today sports grounds are being built in every panchayat. Better training has been arranged to enhance the talent of the players. A tradition has been started to honour the players along with giving them jobs. Many national and international level sports competitions are being organized in the state, so that a better environment for sports is created here and players get a chance to come forward.

The CM said that the children of Jharkhand have a deep attachment to sports. They lack resources, but their passion for sports is worth seeing. By seeing hockey sticks in the hands of poor children living in remote areas of Simdega and Khunti, you can easily guess what kind of connection they have with hockey. The government is committed to make our state move ahead in football and other sports along with hockey.

The CM told the girls that if you want to fly high, then you must dream. Only when you dream, you will find the way to move forward. He also said that no work is small or big. You can make your future in any field. But whatever field you go to, work hard there with honesty. Your work will definitely give you a different identity.

Soren told the girls that life is challenging for everyone. We have to establish ourselves amidst these challenges. In this, someone will prove to be helpful to you, while someone will try to push you back. You will also lack the necessary resources, but even after this you should neither be disappointed nor discouraged. First of all, you should set your goal. Work hard to achieve that goal. Do not panic in any situation. Always maintain your morale, you will definitely get success.

The CM said that Jharkhand has been successfully and brilliantly organizing many sports competitions at the national and international level. In hockey, we have set an example by organizing many international level tournaments, which have been appreciated by the country and the world. Now there is a plan to organize big events for football as well, so that a better environment can be given to the football players here.

On this occasion, the CM directly interacted with the girls who are taking football training along with studies and learned about their experiences. The girls told the CM that after joining the trust, there has been a lot of change in their lives. Along with studies, we are getting a chance to progress in sports. We have got a chance to participate in football competitions held in India and abroad. Today, there is nothing more important than football for us. The CM expressed hope that girls like you will bring glory to Jharkhand in football. During this, the girls also satisfied their curiosity by asking questions to the CM.

The Director of Yuwa India Trust, Franz Gastler, told the CM that three types of programs are being conducted by the Trust in Ormanjhi, Ranchi. These programs are also being supported by the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation. Under this, a school is being run for poor girls here, where education is from class 2 to 12th. At the same time, 600 girls are being trained in football. Apart from this, events are held for girls on health, career, campus placement etc. through Life Skills Workshops. The girls here have shown their talent in football competitions held abroad. He informed that the trust is to build a new campus in Khunti district. The CM assured the trust that the government will provide all possible support in this.

Franz Gastler, Director of Yuwa India Trust, Child Development Officer Niharika, Principal of Yuwa School Shruti, Co-ordinator of Life Skill Program Ankita along with many girls met the Chief Minister.
