Education key to progress: Guv to Saharia families

Governor Mangubhai Patel has said that many schemes are being implemented through the Central Government and the State Government for the development of Saharia, Bharia and Baiga communities. No stone is being left unturned for the development of these communities. The Central Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made a provision of Rs 24 thousand crore for the PM Janman Yojana. Through this, people of Saharia, Bharia and Baiga communities are being provided housing as well as other basic facilities. Governor Patel said this while addressing as the chief guest in the buffalo and animal feed distribution programme to Saharia beneficiaries under the Mukhya Mantri Dudharu Pashu Praday Yojana in village Panchayat Chhimak of Dabra district.

In the programme organized under the Mukhya Mantri Dudharu Pashu Praday Yojana, 2 buffaloes each and animal feed were distributed to 32 cattle rearers. Under this scheme, 90 percent subsidy is also provided to the beneficiaries. District Panchayat President Smt. Durgesh Kunwar Singh Jatav, MLA Mohan Singh Rathore, Dabra MLA Suresh Raje, former minister Smt. Imarti Devi, Prem Singh Rajput and Kaushal Sharma along with public representatives and a large number of Saharia families attended the programme.

Governor Patel said that through the Mukhya Mantri Dudharu Pashu Praday Yojana, the standard of living of the people of Sahariya families will get better. Along with this, nutritious food will also be available to their families. He said that the intention of the state government is that the people of Saharia community should become self-reliant. Many schemes have been run for this. Governor Patel called upon the Saharia community to take good care of the animals provided under the scheme and also take better care of their families with the income generated from it.

Governor Patel has called upon the Saharia families to move forward in the direction of educating their children. Education is the first step towards progress, through which progress is possible. Along with sons, work should be done towards educating daughters as well. Many schemes like Ladli Laxmi Yojana, Ladli Behna Yojana are being run by the Madhya Pradesh government for the upliftment of women and girls. Saharia families should take initiative towards improving their standard of living by taking maximum advantage of the public welfare schemes of the Central Government and the State Government. Assistance is also provided to girls for studying abroad through the State Government. If the daughter studies, she will work towards educating her children after marriage along with her family.

Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development Minister Lakhan Patel said that the Mukhya Mantri Dudharu Pashu Praday Yojana has been conducted for the upliftment of Saharia families in Madhya Pradesh. Through this, milch animals are being provided to the people of Saharia, Bharia and Baiga tribes across the state. He said that after providing the animals, continuous monitoring is also being done through the department.
