MLA Raj Sinha on Thursday raised the issue of non-payment of honorarium to officers and employees of various departments who worked during the Lok Sabha as well as the Assembly elections 2024 in different districts under the state including Dhanbad during the Zero Hour in assembly . Sinha demanded from the government to release funds for payment of the honorarium of all the employees and officers engaged in the Lok Sabha and Assembly elections 2024 immediately.
He also raised a question relating to financial irregularities of around Rs 50 crore in health centers and hospitals across the state by the National Health Mission in the financial year 2023-24. He raised questions over the expenditure to the tune of Rs 50 crore in the name of Janani Suraksha Yojana, National Child Health Program, female sterilization and cataract operation.
Sinha also questioned how many needy people got the benefit from the expenditure made in Janani Suraksha Yojana, National Child Health Program, Female Sterilization and Cataract Operation Scheme. Sinha demanded to provide the account statement of expenditure in these schemes besides a high-level investigation of the financial irregularities and identification of the culprits and legal action against those who syphoned off the sum.
