Jharkhand Director General of Police (DGP) Anurag Gupta has asked all districts and units of the state to provide a list of those police officers and personnel who are undisciplined.
On the basis of this list, action will be taken against police officers and personnel at the DGP level. An order issued from the Police Headquarters on Friday has increased the concern of the policemen.
In the order, it has been directed that the list of undisciplined police officers and personnel posted in all districts, units of the state should be sent to the Police Headquarters. A copy of this order has been sent to all the Range IGs and DIGs. In the order, a report has been sought on seven major points about the policemen.
If any police personnel misbehaves with a person or a woman or has nexus with land mafia or is in contact with any criminals or is controversial, alcoholic, then the list of such police personnel should be sent to the headquarters said DGP.
Gupta also said that police officers and personnel who remain absent from duty, police officers and personnel who habitually consume alcohol while on duty, police officers and personnel who return late to duty by extending their leave period without any reason, police officers and personnel against whom action has been taken in the past on charges of misbehaving with their senior officers or those who still misbehave and police officers and personnel against whom there are allegations of corruption or against whom corruption cases are going on.
