CM urges tribals to educate children for better future

Monday, 03 February 2025 | PNS | Ranchi

Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Sunday said that the result of the penance, sacrifice and sacrifice of the ancestors of tribal community is that tribals are getting a separate identity today. We pay our respects and salute to those martyrs, who have given us the strength to raise our voice on various platforms of the country. We are proud of being tribals. We are proud of our martyrs and agitators. Soren was addressing the Shahid Diwas function organized at Serengasia in Tonto block of West Singhbhum in memory and honor of the great heroes of the 1837 revolt against the British rule. On this occasion, he paid his respects and emotional tribute to the immortal martyrs.

The Chief Minister said that when the fight for the country's independence had not even started, the tribals fought against the powerful British army in every respect and proved their mettle. The contribution of the tribals in the freedom struggle of the country can never be forgotten. But, even today the struggle of the tribals against the feudal forces continues. We urge our tribals to educate their children well and build their future. Tribals need to be economically, socially, educationally and politically strong.

The Chief Minister said Jharkhand has been a land of heroes and martyrs. So many sacrifices have been made in this state that there is a tradition of celebrating Martyrdom Day throughout the year. It begins with paying homage to the martyrs of Kharsawan firing on the first day of the new year. The Chief Minister said that our government is giving rights to the martyrs and their dependents with respect.

The Chief Minister said that we had to struggle for a separate state of Jharkhand. Under the leadership of Dishom Guru Shibu Soren, tribals struggled and fought for about 40-50 years, only then we got a separate state in the form of Jharkhand. But, those who ruled here for about 18-20 years did not care about the development of the state and the tribals. But, just as we fought and took Jharkhand, in the same way we will fight and take our rights.

The Chief Minister said that the country's treasury is being filled with the mineral resources of Jharkhand. The whole country is being illuminated by the minerals here. But, even today this state is counted among the most backward states of the country. The reason for this is that even after becoming a separate state, attention was not given to development. But, ever since our government is in power, efforts are constantly being made to take this state forward.

The Chief Minister said that our government was formed in 2019 with your support. But, the government had to face many problems during the entire tenure. In 2024, with your blessings, we once again got a chance to form a strong government. I would like to tell you that while the central government has a budget of about 25-26 thousand crores for the development of women. At the same time, our government has made a provision of Rs 15 billion every month to empower and strengthen half the population. Jharkhand is the first state in the country, which is giving 2500 rupees every month to sisters and daughters as honor money.

The Chief Minister warned women to be cautious of those people who are eyeing the money you are getting from the government by luring, tempting and deceiving. He assured women that the government will show the way where and how they will spend their money. He told the district administration to make an action plan to connect women with economic activities and work towards making them self-reliant by organizing workshops at village and panchayat level.

The Chief Minister stressed that the poor not only need help, but they need to be put on their feet. For this, it is necessary to strengthen them financially, socially and economically. The Chief Minister said that now no poor person will have to sell the food grains received from the government or the bicycles given to children for their treatment or other needs. Our government has given such strength to every poor family that they will not need to sell the food grains or any other goods received from the government. We are trying to fulfill their every need.

The Chief Minister said that through the program "Aapki Yojana- Aapki Sarkar- Aapke Dwar", work has been done to solve the problems of lakhs of people. This process has not stopped and will not stop. It will continue uninterrupted. He said that our government is setting up such a system, where the team of district and block administration will reach your doorstep to solve your problems.
