Chief Minister Mohan Yadav stated that Lord Shiva is a symbol of generosity, simplicity, and purity. He emphasized that Goddess Ganga resides in Lord Shiva’s matted hair, and the river of love flows from His heart, treating everyone equally. Hence, He is worshiped by all as Mahadev. Dr. Yadav directed officials to prepare an estimate for the beautification of Koteshwar Shiva Temple.
During his visit to Lanji, the Chief Minister unveiled statues of Bhagwan Birsa Munda and Rani Avantibai. He also announced that Kiranapur would be upgraded to a municipal council and that Karanja Higher Secondary School would be named after Balasaheb Deoras. Dr. Yadav was addressing a gathering during the eight-day spiritual and cultural Koteshwar Mahotsav in Balaghat’s Lanji.
Yadav emphasized that fairs play a crucial role in preserving cultural traditions. Extending his advance greetings for Holi, he mentioned that this festival fosters social harmony. The cycle of fairs begins with Makar Sankranti and continues throughout the year, bringing joy to all. He highlighted that in Ujjain, the city of Mahakal, the Vikramotsav began on Maha Shivaratri, celebrating the legacy of King Vikramaditya, who symbolizes justice, righteousness, knowledge, culture, and bravery. The Vikram Samvat calendar, started in his honor, begins on Gudi Padwa.
The Chief Minister announced that paddy farmers in the state will receive an additional benefit of Rs 4,000 per hectare under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Pronnati Yojana. He assured that farmers would continue to receive benefits under the Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana and PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. He also pledged that homeless individuals would be provided housing.
Additionally, the government has introduced a cattle-rearing scheme to boost milk production, offering bonuses on milk production. He encouraged people to engage in animal husbandry, stating that the government will also procure goat milk if needed.

Yadav highlighted that after investment summits in Bhopal, Sagar, Rewa, Shahdol, Jabalpur, and Narmadapuram, a Global Investment Summit was held in Bhopal, attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He noted that distinguished dignitaries, including the President and Home Minister of India, extended their support for the development of Madhya Pradesh.
Yadav participated in tree plantation at the Koteshwar Mahadev Temple, spreading awareness about environmental conservation. The Koteshwar Temple, a historic 12th-century Shiva temple, is surrounded by natural beauty and remains a major center of faith.
The event was attended by Minister for Culture, Tourism, and Religious Trusts Dharmendra Lodhi, MP Bharti Paradhi, MLA Rajkumar Karrahe, Municipal Chairperson Rekha Tarachand Kalbele, Janpad Chairperson Archana Ravindra Khokhar, and a large number of citizens.
