Chief Minister Dr. Yadav will formally inaugurate the campaign at the Kshipra River in Ujjain with Varun (Water God) worship and Jalabhishek (Water Offering).
This statewide campaign will continue for more than 90 days during the summer season, concluding on June 30. The initiative aims to improve groundwater levels and promote awareness about water conservation under the principle: “Save every drop of water to sustain life.”
The Madhya Pradesh government is committed to protecting water, forests, land, and wildlife. CM Dr. Yadav emphasized that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s nationwide water conservation campaign has evolved into a mass movement, and Madhya Pradesh is aligning with it under the principle "Water from farms stays in farms, water from villages stays in villages."
The campaign will focus on Rainwater harvesting, the Revival of water sources, and the Adoption of water conservation techniques.

More than 12 departments, including Water Resources, Narmada Valley Development Authority, Environment, Urban Development, Public Health Engineering, School Education, Horticulture, and Agriculture, will collaborate on restoring water bodies. The campaign's theme is "Community Participation in Water Source Conservation and Development."
CM Dr. Yadav has outlined various initiatives, including Tree plantation & revival of water sources, Awareness programs in rural areas and schools, Small dams and reservoirs on rivers, Fruit-bearing trees along riverbanks to encourage organic farming, and Installation of drinking water stations in urban and rural areas.
