Presiding over a pre-budget consultation meeting with representatives of the textile industry in Panipat for the 2025–26 budget, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday said that the suggestions received from the textile industry would be considered for inclusion in the upcoming budget to ensure that industries fully benefit from the state government’s policies and generate maximum employment opportunities.
Saini encouraged entrepreneurs to submit their suggestions either through the government’s dedicated portal or in writing. These suggestions will help formulate new policies in the budget to strengthen the state’s social and economic infrastructure, he said.
He said that the state government has formulated a policy to make the textile sector self-reliant. Continuous efforts are being made to promote small industries. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, both the Central and Haryana governments are working towards promoting self-employment. The government's objective is to ensure a significant contribution from the industrial sector in the nation’s development, he said.
The CM said that to realize the vision of an inclusive budget, the state government is inviting suggestions from various sections of society so that the best ideas can be incorporated into the state budget. He said that, for the first time, the state government has introduced a system allowing any citizen to submit budget-related suggestions online from the comfort of their home. A dedicated portal has been developed for this purpose. So far, 9,000 suggestions have been received through pre-budget consultations held with representatives from various sectors across the state, Saini added.
He said that the objective of holding pre-budget consultation meetings is to formulate policies that ensure the welfare and economic upliftment of every section of society and expressed confidence that the suggestions provided by various entrepreneurs would play a crucial role in strengthening and empowering the state through the upcoming budget.
Policies will be simplified to encourage industry & investment
Chairing another meeting of the pre-budget consultation with stakeholders related to the manufacturing sector in Faridabad, Saini said that new initiatives are being taken to encourage industrial institutions and promote investment for the economic progress of the state. Policies will be simplified on the basis of suggestions received in the pre-budget consultation meetings and he himself will review the issues related to the Haryana Enterprise Promotion Centre (HEPC) every three months.
He listened to the suggestions of the representatives who arrived in the pre-budget consultation meeting and also assured to consider the necessary issues in the Budget. He said, “In the Budget, meaningful efforts will be made to meet the current needs as well as long-term goals. The upcoming Budget is a reflection of our collective ambitions and priorities. For the preparations of the Budget, it is necessary that we communicate with all sections of society so that necessary positive efforts can be made to fulfill the needs and dreams of every citizen of Haryana.”
