As Uttar Pradesh prepares for Maha Kumbh 2025, the Uttar Pradesh government launched Maa Ki Rasoi, a fully air-conditioned, hygienic and modern community restaurant in Prayagraj on Friday.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath went around the community kitchen, built in an area of about 2,000 square feet on the Swaroop Rani Nehru Hospital campus.
According to the government, the initiative is aims at providing a full meal for just Rs 9. The meal includes dal, four rotis, vegetables, rice, salad, and a dessert.
The community kitchen is operated by the Nandi Sewa Sansthan at SRN Hospital for people from the economically weaker section. The community kitchen can seat about 150 people at a time.
The chief minister expressed his appreciation for the institute’s efforts and praised the quality of food, hygiene standards, and the services being offered. As a gesture of service, he personally served meals to beneficiaries and also inspected the kitchen facilities of Maa Ki Rasoi.
Industrial Development Minister Nand Gopal Gupta ‘Nandi’ then guided him to the kitchen. There, the chief minister was briefed about the quality of the food and other arrangements. Chief Minister Yogi inspected the kitchen, reviewed its cleanliness, and appreciated the initiative.
During the visit, chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ echoed across the premises.
According to the Nandi Sewa Sansthan, Maa Ki Rasoi will prove useful for those who come to SRN Hospital for the treatment of their loved ones and are concerned about food.
