Our tradition, civilization, culture and faith are associated with festivals. This brings enthusiasm, excitement and joy in life. In this episode, we have been celebrating Sarhul festival as per tradition for years. Our ancestors have kept the traditions of this natural festival intact and strong. We have to take this inherited tradition further, said Chief Minister Hemant Soren while addressing the students at the Sarhul Puja Mahotsav organized at the Adivasi College Hostel Campus, Karamtoli, Ranchi on Tuesday.
On the occasion of this holy festival, the Chief Minister prayed here with traditional rituals and wished for the development, happiness, prosperity and peace of the state. He gave the message of staying connected with nature by planting a tree in the campus (planting a Sakhua tree). While congratulating and wishing the people of the state on the occasion of Sarhul Mahaparva, he said that for the better future of Jharkhand, we have to move forward in a planned manner keeping in mind the coming 25 years.
The CM said that the festival of Sarhul is celebrated with great pomp every year in the Adivasi College hostel campus. Like every year, this year too I have got the privilege of participating in the Sarhul festival organized here. I am getting a chance to come here and share happiness with all of you. He further said that here we take a pledge to preserve nature and move forward with our traditions. We should always keep trying in this direction so that our resolution is fulfilled.
The CM said that today our life has become very busy. People have less time, yet they must take out time to stay connected with their inherited tradition and civilization-culture. This is necessary for the betterment of our coming generation. This strengthens mutual relationships and there is a different joy in celebrating festivals together.
The Chief Minister said that all hostels are being renovated to provide better facilities to the students. In this series, multi-story buildings will be built in Adivasi College Hostel, Karamtoli and Women's College Hostel. He told the students that they should only worry about their studies, the government will make all the other arrangements. You move forward in the right direction, the government is standing with you.
