Chief Minister Hemant Soren today said that the new era has gone digital. There is no sector left which is untouched by digitization. Digital services are also changing rapidly. Every day- digital services are getting upgraded. In such a situation, whether you want it or not, you cannot stay away from the digital platform. In such a situation, it is better that you make yourself and the coming generation technically strong according to the time. Only when you are digital friendly, will you be able to move forward.
The CM was addressing people on the tablet distribution program among 28945 government primary schools in a function organized by the School Education and Literacy Department at Jharkhand Headquarters on Friday. On this occasion, he also launched the school report card for quality education promotion and a mandatory 50-hour integrated-continuous capacity development program for teachers online.
The CM said that many concrete steps are being taken towards providing digital services to the government schools of the state. In this episode, a new chapter is being started today with the provision of tablets to primary schools. With this, all reporting work from attendance in schools will be done through digital medium. At the same time, the use of tablets will make it easier to monitor the work related to children's studies, teacher training, supervision, biometric attendance and on that basis it will help a lot in improving the education system.
The CM said that today's education system has been digitized on a large scale. Smart classes are running in schools. Digital educational materials are being used. Online coaching classes are going on. In such a situation, if our children are not digital friendly, then their path ahead will not be easy. They will have to face many challenges and problems at every step. Keeping this in mind, the government has started a campaign to provide quality education to the children studying in government schools and to strengthen them digitally. The overall development of children is our government's commitment.
Soren said that technology is changing rapidly today. You have a mobile in your fist and the whole world is confined to that mobile. Now you neither need to carry a purse nor cash. You can fulfill your needs and get all the information through your mobile phone. The CM further said that everything has positive and negative aspects. Mobile phones are also not better than this, but it depends on you how you use it. If you use it properly, then you will definitely move forward on the path of progress. He told the children to take steps towards progress by assessing where they stand in this digital age and where the world has reached.
The CM said that the state is encouraging the promising children through various means so that they can move forward. Today, along with JAC, the toppers of CBSE and ICSE boards are being given laptops and mobile phones along with incentive money, while the state government is giving the opportunity to the poor and promising students here to study abroad at its own expense. Apart from this, there are many such schemes, through which the students are being encouraged to move forward and their future is being improved.
The CM said that the issue of digital services being affected in rural areas comes up again and again. The problem of digital connectivity creates obstacles in all kinds of work and services, due to which people face a lot of problems. In such a situation, the government will take steps towards installing mobile towers in all panchayats so that all government work done through digital medium can be conducted smoothly, simply and conveniently.
