Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has wished the people of the state on Mahavir Jayanti. He urged the people to imbibe the ideals of Lord Mahavir and said that his life and teachings are still a source of inspiration for humanity.
Yadav said on his social media handle 'X' that the entire life of Lord Mahavir, the 24th Tirthankar of Jainism, is a symbol of great principles like non-violence, truth, non-stealing, celibacy and non-possession. He not only followed these principles, but also showed the society the way to adopt them.
In a message issued to the media, Chief Minister Yadav said that the teachings of Lord Mahavira, who showed the world the right path of 'live and let live', are as relevant today as they were then for the creation of a civilized society. His philosophy of life gives direction to human life not only from a religious point of view, but also from a social and moral point of view.
Yadav has appealed to the people of the state to adopt the principles of Lord Mahavira in their lives on this auspicious occasion. Strengthen peace, harmony and brotherhood in the society by following the path of non-violence and truth and let us all celebrate Mahavir Jayanti with joy.
