CM congratulates KGBV students for winning national band competition

Chief Minister Hemant Soren today met students of the band team of Kasturba Gandhi Residential Girls School, Patmda, East Singhbhum, who secured first place in the country in the National School Band Competition-2025 held on 24-25 January in New Delhi. They shared their experiences of this national level band competition with the Chief Minister.

Congratulating and wishing the band team, the Chief Minister said that this is a big achievement for Jharkhand. He said that the girl students of a government school have brought laurels to Jharkhand by presenting their talent to the whole country through the band competition. He wished all the members of the band team to perform even better in the future.

The Chief Minister said that there is no dearth of talent among the students of the state. They are constantly performing better in different fields. Our government is committed to bring out the hidden talent of the children by polishing it. The government is also working on a plan to provide a better platform to the children here. Many steps are being taken for the exposure of children.

It is worth mentioning that this team, which won first place in the National School Band Competition, also displayed the band in the Republic Day celebrations held at Kartavya Path in New Delhi. This was the first time for Jharkhand when a band team from here participated in the Republic Day celebrations held in New Delhi. On this occasion, State Project Director of Jharkhand Education Project Council (JEPC) Shashi Ranjan, State Nodal Officer Dheersen Soreng, Physical Education Teacher Nisha Panna, Trainer Prem Rana, Jarnail Singh and Amarveer Singh of Punjab Regimental Center Ramgarh were present.
