A range of events marking the 76th Republic Day will be organised in the state capital. On Sunday, the district administration has issued advisories for the festivities.
Heightened vigil is being maintained at railway stations and roads leading into the city, where late-night picketing has remained in force since late evening on Friday.
Traffic at several places in the city will remain diverted due to the state-level event at the historic Lal Parade Ground. Motorists will be required to take alternative routes along the PHQ and Control Room traffic intersections.
Vehicles from Roshanpura Chowk to Bharat Talkies will be diverted through Banganga, Machli Ghar, Khatlapura, PHQ Tirahe, and Jehangirabad roundabout.

Those participating in the procession will be diverted through Control Room Tirahe, Gandhi Park Tirahe, and others and will be parked at Atal Path Chowk.
Flag hoisting ceremonies will also take place at administrative buildings and offices across the state capital.
At the divisional headquarters, Divisional Commissioner Sanjeev Singh will unfurl the tricolour, while Collector Kaushalendra Vikram Singh will do the honours at the Collectorate office.
Mayor Malti Rai will hoist the national flag at the ISBT complex, and MiC Chief Kishan Suryavanshi will do so at Mata Mandir Harshvardhan Complex. Both public representatives will address citizens on the occasion.
Over 200 cyclists will come together in a visual treat that will see them create the map of India. The event, organised by the Sports Authority of India, will cover a 25-30 km area after starting out from the Shaurya Smarak early in the morning.
The day will also mark the commencement of the five-day 'Lokrang' festival at the Ravindra Bhawan auditorium. In its 40th year, the festival includes a tribute to the 40-year journey of Lokrang, directed by sitar artist Smita Nagdev.
Adding a sumptuous touch to the festivities in the city, over 50 food stalls offering Bhopali and Indori delicacies are being organised at the Bittan Market Ground.
