Cabinet nod to CM’s visit to European countries

The State Cabinet today gave its nod for the proposed Spain and Sweden visit led by the Chief Minister from April 19 and the expenditure related to it. Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren will visit three countries. Apart from his wife Kalpana Soren, a team of eight people will accompany him which would include urban development and housing minister Sudivya Kumar Sonu, Chief Secretary Alka Tiwari, additional chief secretary to the CM Avinash Kumar, Industry Secretary Arwa Rajkamal, Industry Director Sushant Gaurav among others.

A high-level team led by the Chief Minister will visit Portugal, Sweden and Spain to attract investment for the state.  The government there will hold talks with personalities and institutions of the industry sector. The state government has sought political clearance from the Ministry of External Affairs for the team going on a foreign tour under the leadership of the Chief Minister.

It is expected that political clearance will be received from the Ministry of External Affairs in the next few days. This foreign tour of the Chief Minister will be from April 19-26.

Meanwhile, in the cabinet meeting held under the leadership of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, 14 proposals were approved. This information has been given by Cabinet Secretary Vandana Dadel. She informed that the Council of Ministers has approved the formation of Recruitment, Promotion Rules 2025 of the clerical cadre in the regional office under the Water Resources Department. Apart from this, the Council of Ministers has decided to increase the GST rate on aviation turbines from four per cent to 12%.

It has been decided to approve the promotion of the officials of Jharkhand Lower Education Service cadre to the post of State Education Service Class 2 with retrospective effect as per the court order. The cabinet has decided to pay pension and allowance to the family of late Saryu Prasad Chaudhary, who was in Jharkhand Administrative Service, on the orders of the court.

Taking an important decision, the Cabinet has approved reducing the VAT on the purchase of high-speed diesel by tax payable persons registered in mining and manufacturing work to 15% instead of 22%. Apart from this, the cabinet has approved the Jharkhand Grass Root Innovation Internship Scheme. The Cabinet has approved the Right to Telecommunications Way Rules 2024 notified in relation to the Department of Telecommunications.

The Cabinet has approved the extension of the tenure of part-time teachers under the current arrangement for teaching work in residential schools run by the Scheduled Tribes Scheduled Castes Minority and Backward Classes Welfare Department. The Council of Ministers has decided to repatriate 8900 posts out of the vacant posts of Government Secondary School TGT Cadre and PGT Cadre to the Secondary Acharya Cadre in 510 Government Plus Two Schools.

Talking to the media in the Jharkhand Ministry after the cabinet meeting, Chief Minister Hemant Soren expressed happiness over the peaceful completion of many festivals together in the past few days and said that so many festivals were celebrated together. He said that along with the people, we also try to keep faith and tradition intact. We hope that it remains the same in the future as well.

While answering a question, the Chief Minister said that the company and the district administration are looking into the matter raised regarding Adani Power in Godda. The matter has also come to our notice. We will talk further in this regard.
