A two-day Basant Mela will be held on March 8-9 at Pustakalaya Maidan, Bokaro Steel City. Preparations for the event have already begun at the departmental level by Bokaro Steel Limited (BSL). The event aims to provide visitors with insights into the functioning of various departments of Bokaro Steel Plant, along with entertainment and cultural programs.
As part of the mela, several informational stalls will be set up by different departments of the plant. These will include stalls from major shops, Bokaro General Hospital, horticulture, sports and civic amenities, fire services, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and public relations. Through these exhibits, visitors will get a closer look at the plant’s operations and services.
Apart from the informational aspect, cultural programs showcasing the rich traditions and diversity of India will be a key attraction. The event will also feature musical performances, rock band shows, and other entertainment activities to engage the audience.
Additionally, the Bokaro Women's Committee will organize an exhibition, including commercial stalls and food stalls offering a variety of products and delicacies. This will provide a platform for local entrepreneurs and artisans to display and sell their goods.
