Wednesday, 12 February 2025 | PNS | DALTONGANJ

The BNS law college did a novel thing which no college has ever done in the past. It went into the gathering of the poor and the rustic.

The principal  of the law college Pankaj Kumar and his team of law course students boys and girls both held a legal aid camp for legal awareness among tribals in the Rajkiya Adivasi Vikas Maha Kumbh Mela at Dubiya Kharn about 10 kms away from Daltonganj today.

The legal aid camp saw a sizeable number of visitors. The principal and his team has charts there in simple language to convey a message as to what IPC is now BNS.

The team had drawn a chart describing columns as offence, its section in the IPC and now its section in the BNS. It was the brainchild of the principal of the BNS law college Pankaj Kumar said sources.

Section 302 of IPC is now 101 of the BNS. Section 144 of the CrPC is now 189(4) of the BNS. And so on and so forth.

The principal told this correspondent that our aim is to make tribal aware of the legal services that are meant to them and are easily available and accessible to them.

The tribal should know their rights and legal protection, reminded the principal.

Law boys and girls had done a good job for this legal stall in the Rajkiya Adivasi Vikas Maha Kumbh Mela.
