Amid speculations over the name of next Chief Minister of Delhi, all 48 BJP MLAs are likely to meet party's national President JP Nadda in the next two days. BJP's legislature party meeting to decide the Chief Minister's face is likely to take place on Sunday. It is expected that BJP's new government will be formed by February 22.
"All winning MLAs will meet the National President in the next two days. Our national leadership will discuss the Chief Minister's face once Prime Minister Narendra Modi comes back from the foreign visit," said a senior leader after Wednesday's meeting.
According to the sources, the first meeting of the BJP's Legislature Party will be attended by the 48 newly-elected MLAs and presided over by two senior members from the BJP national leadership appointed to oversee the selection of the Chief Minister and the Cabinet members.
Sources said that after victory in Delhi assembly elections, several rounds of discussions over government formation, and the possible composition of Delhi's seven-member Council of Ministers, have taken place between the top brass of the BJP.
