The Bharatiya Janata Party Dhanbad town committee celebrated 46th Foundation Day of party with great pomp at the BJP District Office on Sunday under the chairmanship of Sarwan Rai.
The programs would continue from today to 12 April.
First of all, in BJP district office, floral tributes were paid to the inspirational founders of BJP Deen Dayal Upadhyaya and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee by top district leaders including Dhanbad MLA Raj Sinha, who was specially present along with all the district officials and workers for the function. Rural District President Ghanshyam Grover, Sindri candidate Tara Devi and all the party officials also were present .
MLA Raj Sinha while addressing said that with the aim of making India a capable nation, BJP was formed on 6 April 1980 in New Delhi. Its first president was Atal Bihari Vajpayee. With its establishment, BJP registered its strong participation in Indian democracy by being vocal on international, national and public interest issues, and gave new dimensions to Indian politics. The foundation of development based politics in the country was also laid by BJP after coming to power in various states and during the NDA rule in the entire country. Sinha further said that celebrating foundation day is a symbol of pride and inspiration for all of us. This journey of Bharatiya Janata Party, established on 6 April 1980, is not just a political journey but a great sadhana of nation building. This journey from Jan Sangh to Bharatiya Janata Party was filled with many struggles, sacrifices and dedication. The ideology which was founded by Dr. Syama Prasad Mukherjee was taken forward by great men like Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay, Syama Prasad Mukherjee and then under the leadership of great leaders like Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani, Narendra Modi, this party became a world-class organisation. With the mantra of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas and Sabka Prayas, BJP set a new record of service, good governance and dedication in the country and state.
Town committee President Sarwan Rai said that on the 46th foundation day of BJP dedicated to the service of the nation, I congratulate all the party workers from booth level to the metropolitan level on my behalf. It is because of the sacrifice and dedication of the party workers that the Bharatiya Janata Party became the largest democratic political party in the world.
