BJP state spokesperson Pratul Shahdeo has launched a major attack on ruling party JMM before its Mahaadhiveshan and said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha should pass a resolution to implement the promises made in its 2024 election manifesto 'Adhikar Patra'. Pratul said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha had made a flurry of promises before the elections. But those promises are not taking tangible form on the ground.
Pratul said that the most controversy is about the Maiya Samman Yojana. The government is reducing its number as per its wish, which is reprehensible. All the Maiya who had received the Samman amount before the elections should be given. Only the beneficiaries who have done fraud should be excluded. Pratul said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha had also promised to give gas cylinders for Rs 450. But now it has forgotten it. There was also a promise to give 10 lakh government jobs in 5 years. There was also a promise to create self-employment opportunities for women. It was also said that loans without guarantee would be made available to farmers. Pratul said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha should pass a resolution in the convention to implement the promises made in its charter of rights. The public looks at JMM's announcements with suspicion because it remembers that not a single promise of the 2019 Nischay Patra could be implemented.
Pratul said that the number of tribals is continuously decreasing in the border districts of West Bengal and the population of Muslims is increasing unexpectedly. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha calls itself a well-wisher of the tribals. This issue should be deeply pondered upon in the convention and a resolution should be passed to expel all illegal Bangladeshi intruders.
Pratul said that the tribals are suffering the most due to this infiltration.
Pratul said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is always accused of nepotism. People are assuming that the post of president and working president will remain with the Soren family. The workers who will come from Jharkhand and the neighbouring border states will only raise their hands on the proposal. So now the time has come that JMM should show transparency and give the post of president and working president to a dedicated worker outside the family. Jharkhand Mukti Morcha should not do eyewash in the election for party posts.
