Chief Minister Mohan Yadav emphasized the significance of arts, stating that they not only speak for themselves but also manifest through human behavior and emotions. He highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s rich artistic heritage, noting that many globally acclaimed artists have emerged from the state. Bharat Bhavan, a cultural hub, has played a crucial role in establishing Madhya Pradesh as a center of artistic excellence.

Speaking at the State Shikhar Samman ceremony on Bharat Bhavan’s open-air stage on Thursday, Dr. Yadav expressed immense pride on the occasion of Bharat Bhavan’s 43rd anniversary.

During the event, the State Shikhar Samman for 2022 and 2023 was conferred upon 15 distinguished artists for their exceptional contributions to music, dance, theater, tribal and folk art, and literature. Each awardee received a shawl, coconut, plaque, and a cash honorarium of ?2 lakh.

Yadav extended his best wishes to the awardees and reiterated the government’s commitment to preserving and promoting Madhya Pradesh’s cultural heritage. He acknowledged that artists are the soul of society, and honoring them reflects the state's deep respect for the arts.

To mark Bharat Bhavan’s 43rd foundation day, CM Yadav made a major announcement—reviving Rangmandal, a key theater initiative. He stated that the return of Rangmandal would infuse new energy into the theater world, benefiting young artists and enriching the state's cultural landscape. The announcement was met with enthusiasm from theater lovers and artists, who celebrated the long-awaited revival.

For years, Rangmandal served as a major platform for theater artists in Madhya Pradesh but had become inactive. Its revival promises new opportunities for emerging talent and is expected to strengthen the performing arts scene in the state.

Culture, Tourism, Religious Trust, and Dharma Minister (Independent Charge) Shri Dharmendra Singh Lodhi lauded Bharat Bhavan as a pillar of artistic and cultural preservation. He emphasized that Madhya Pradesh is not only nurturing its artistic roots but also empowering the next generation of artists.

Meanwhile, Shri Vaman Kendri, Chairman of Bharat Bhavan’s Trustees, described Bharat Bhavan as a confluence of diverse artistic disciplines. He highlighted its historic role in shaping Bhopal into a prominent cultural hub and reaffirmed its importance in India’s artistic landscape.

The grand event marked a significant milestone in Madhya Pradesh’s cultural journey, celebrating its rich artistic traditions and promising a brighter future for the state’s creative community.
