Member of Parliament from Bhopal Alok Sharma and Mayor Malti Rai performed Bhumi Pujan for a series of development projects for the residents of Barela village and Teela Jamalpura areas of the state capital on Thursday.
The initiatives, valued in crores of rupees, are set to enhance infrastructure and public amenities in these areas. The development works at Barela are estimated at Rs 1.1 crores, while those at Teela Jamalpura will cost Rs 3.5 crores.
MP Alok Sharma and Mayor Malti Rai laid the foundation for a variety of projects ist Barela village, located in municipal Zone 02 of Ward 07. The plans include the construction of a community building, road cement concretisation, drainage systems, paving blocks, and cultural platforms for local parks.
Following this, the duo performed the groundbreaking for a major set of infrastructure projects in Teela Jamalpura. These developments will include road tarmacking, cement concretisation, and the construction of drainage systems across multiple locations in the ward.
As part of the ceremony, MP Sharma and Mayor Rai, along with other officials, paid their respects to Mahatma Gandhi by placing floral tributes at his portrait.
The event was attended by several notable figures, including Ward No. 13 Councillor Manoj Rathore, Zone Presidents Devendra Bhargava and Vinita Soni, Ward No. 07 Councillor Priyanka Mishra and Shailesh Sahu, along with other public representatives and community members.
