It appears that all is not well as Sindri College, located in Sindri township of district as in last few months two senior teachers of college had to face assault on within campus and one outside the college premises.
In recent one Dr.Sarmistha Acharyya (Exam Controller,Sindri College), who also is one of the office bearer of BBMKU Teachers Association while was on hervway back to residence from college was attacked. Then Dr Acharya was on driving seat. The incident took place on March 22 while ahe was on her way home at ariund 5.40 pm after completion of exams.
Sources say some. Unwarranted persons were seen out side office of principal who also is the
the center superintendent for the university exams.
Incidently, both had left office around same time.
Earliear, former Examination Controller of the college Dr.Surendar Kumar was manhandled by outsiders outside principals chamber. And in both cases police authorities failed to inform police, its alleged.
Most surprising is fact that while Dr.Sarmistha Acharyya happens to be Controller of college appointed by university, principal has ordered to replace her ( a regular teacher) by appointing an ad-hock teacher for this post. The adhock teacher was asked to join post on March 25.
Senior teachers see a conspiracy in entire episode hatched to intimidate regular teachers fir benifit of adhock teachers who can dance on tunes of college authorities.
Incidently, though Dr Acharya had filed case in regards to attack on her at Sindri PS on same date but till date no one has been arrested in this connection.
