A programme was held at the Nilambar Pitambar Multipurpose Cultural City Building in Garhwa to distribute smartphones to 1,330 Anganwadi workers and 50 female supervisors from the district's nine projects, under the centrally sponsored 'Poshan Abhiyan' scheme.
Following a programme organised by the Department of Women, Child Development and Social Security (Social Welfare) at Project Bhawan, Ranchi, on 26 March 2025, where the Chief Minister of Jharkhand distributed smartphones to female supervisors and Anganwadi workers, a similar event was also convened at the district level. At this event, District Social Welfare Officer Pramesh Kushwaha and District Land Acquisition Officer Sanjay Prasad presented each female supervisor and Anganwadi worker from various projects in the district with a smartphone. All the recipients expressed their delight and gratitude to the district administration upon receiving the smartphones.
The distribution of smartphones among female supervisors and Anganwadi workers is expected to greatly facilitate the execution of various ongoing tasks within the projects. They will now be able to efficiently carry out important programmes related to their responsibilities, such as Aadhaar verification, face recognition, CBE activity, incentives, measuring efficiency, house visits, infrastructure data entry, and SAM/MAM data collection.
Female supervisors Pratima Kumari, Geeta Kumari, and Vidyavati Kumari, along with other female supervisors and Anganwadi workers from all projects within the district, attended the programme.
