The National Institute of Design (NID) declared the results for Design Aptitude Test (DAT) 2025 Prelims which will be used to admit students into the Master of Design (MDes) program. The NID admissions website at admissions.nid.edu provides result access to candidates who log in with their email address and date of birth information. Sectional and full-term scores appear separate in the scorecard.
NID opened the prelims result rechecking service and it remains active until 4 PM today on February 18th, 2025. The official website enables candidates to perform the mandatory recheck process by using an online submission form. Candidates who succeed in the DAT Prelims examination proceed to DAT Mains testing.

Final Selection Criteria & Admission Process
All candidates who succeed at DAT Prelims must participate in the DAT Mains examination featuring the Studio Test and the Interview section. The Studio Test occurs in English as the format changes depending on the selected discipline. The official interviews will take place at the same exam center following the Studio Test.
All shortlisted candidates applying to DAT Mains must meet the deadline to present their Statement of Purpose combined with their Portfolio.
The final merit list establishment basis combines DAT Prelims results with DAT Mains results where DAT Mains receives a heavier weight. The Preliminary Design Aptitude Test accounts for 30% of the overall points while Mains DAT comprises 70% of points including Studio Test at 40% and Interview at 30%. The educational institution will evaluate qualified candidates from main selection stages before granting confirmation into the program.
