The Delhi High Court completed hearing all arguments regarding petitions that resist the CLAT 2025 UG examination and now awaits judgment on those petitions. From April 21 the Court started proceedings on all matters concerning CLAT PG. The Court will start hearing the PG matters when its session begins on April 21 according to the judgment pronouncement. The court will deliver its judgment on undergraduate petitions sometime after conducting complete due process.
The Delhi High Court continued its hearing process regarding the CLAT 2025 result petitions on Wednesday of April 9. The matter before the court is being led by Justice Devendra Kumar Upadhyaya and Justice Tushar Rao Gedela. The judges said the Consortium of NLUs should select more capable paper examiners before the upcoming exam to prevent similar mistakes.
The Delhi High Court examined the petitioned questions against CLAT UG 2025 testing protocols at its earlier session before certain questions were withdrawn. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) received two weeks from the court to provide its counter affidavit.
The Supreme Court directed the batch of petitions to proceed in front of a division bench at the Delhi High Court to stop different decisions from coming out of other judicial districts. The apex court firstly evaluated transferring the matter to the Punjab and Haryana High Court because the first challenge against the CLAT 2025 answer key started there.
The Consortium of NLUs advocated before the Supreme Court to handle all petitions about CLAT through themselves or assign them to a particular high court. The Consortium requested the top court to accept all result-related petitions concerning CLAT 2025 from various High Courts because they feared differing court decisions.
An applicant who addressed the Delhi High Court bench reported that various petitions about the CLAT examination remained outstanding across different High Court jurisdictions so applicants would petition the Supreme Court for transfers. The Consortium with the aspirants questioned the validity of the earlier decision by the Delhi High Court because they claimed single-judge interference should not affect expert-made answer keys.
