The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) finished conducting the secondary school examination also known as CBSE Class 10. Students appeared for CBSE board exams 2025 of Class 10 between February 15 and March 18. The Class 12 senior secondary CBSE exams will finish on April 4. All together 42 lakh students took part in the 2024-25 board examination sessions. The Student assessment numbers show Class 10 participants reached 24.12 lakh in 84 subjects alongside 17.88 lakh participants in the Class 12 assessment for 120 subjects.
The Board has not provided any information regarding results but it has maintained a May announcement pattern for CBSE Class 10 results during the previous years.
The results for secondary class 10 and senior secondary or Class 12 are expected to follow a consistent pattern by CBSE. Students of Class 10 should review the historical data showing CBSE's past announcements regarding Class 10 and Class 12 results from the last five years.

The COVID pandemic caused the extended period between the declaration of Class 10 examination results from 2020 through to 2022.

The Maharashtra school education minister Dada Bhuse announced that CBSE curriculum will continue to be used in the state throughout Classes 1 to 12 by 2028. State school education minister Dada Bhuse announced both houses of the state legislature that the new curriculum system would begin in first standard from 2025 until it reaches 12th standard by 2028.
The educational coverage in 2026 will span from standards 2 to standards 4 along with standards 6 while standards 5 in addition to 7, 9 and 11 will be studied in 2027. Minister Bhuse announced during this year that education will reach up to 8th grade and 10th grade and 12th grade in 2028.
