Piyush Goyal confers award to Amity Internatonal School

Amity International School, Vasundhara, Sector-6, has been conferred upon “Special Citation- Atal Tinkering Labs” Award, by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, during the National Intellectual Property Award Function-2024.

The award was received by Dr Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools and Dr Atul Chauhan, Chancellor, Amity Universities, during a prestigious ceremony, held at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

Expressing her extreme pleasure and gratitude on this occasion, Dr Amita Chauhan, Chairperson, Amity International Schools, averred, “We are extremely honoured and privileged to receive the “Special Citation-Atal Tinkering Labs” by the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal. Amity International Schools are widely recognised for the outstanding achievement of the students in various fields. The award is a testimony to Amity’s commitment to nation-building through Research and Innovation, which is the main focus area at Amity.”

This award, after rigorous scrutiny by the Office of the Controller General of Patents, Design and Trade Marks, was bestowed upon Amity International School Vasundhara, Sector-6, in appreciation of providing continuous guidance to students through ideation sessions led by mentors and teachers, along with actively fostering a culture of innovation in the school by encouraging creative thinking, regularly following up on the novel ideas of young innovators and facilitating intellectual property protection for developed prototypes.

According to  Sunila Athley, Principal, Amity International School, Vasundhara Sector-6, “The school has been one of the first school to setup the ATL under the mentorship and assistance of Niti Ayog, Government of India. Since then, the school has won accolades for projects ideations, research paper, prototypes, paper presentations in STEM, at the international, national, state and CBSE level, including the patents and copyrights received for the young innovators of the school.”
