The final Amrit Snan of Maha Kumbh 2025 on Basant Panchami turned into a mesmerizing spectacle as crores of devotees at the Sangam were showered with rose petals from helicopters. Under the Yogi government's directive, the grand floral tribute elevated the spiritual fervor of the sacred bathing ritual on Monday.
Starting at 6:30 AM, as Akharas began their ritualistic dip in the holy confluence, helicopters released a continuous cascade of fresh rose petals over the ghats.
Devotees, saints, and Naga Sadhus stood in awe as the petals descended upon them, chanting "Jai Shri Ram" and "Har Har Mahadev," creating a divine atmosphere.
The Uttar Pradesh Horticulture Department, following the government's elaborate plans for Maha Kumbh's bathing festivals, ensured the availability of fresh rose petals for the occasion.
A staggering 20 quintals of petals were used for each bathing event, a tradition that has been maintained since Paush Purnima and the first Amrit Snan on Makar Sankranti. The floral tribute was also a highlight of the second Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya.
The breathtaking aerial floral showers not only enhanced the spiritual grandeur of the event but also left devotees with an unforgettable experience, marking a fitting culmination to the sacred Amrit Snans of Maha Kumbh 2025.
