With just six days left in the run up to the Delhi assembly elections, senior BJP leaders including Union Road Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari held 35 public meetings in different areas of the national Capital.
Addressing two public meetings for Matiala candidate Sandeep Sahrawat and Vikaspuri candidate Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, Gadkari said, “Arvind Kejriwal government has given zero development to Delhi in ten years, most of Delhi has been made like slum area and if Prime Minister Narendra Modi government had not given schemes like road, metro, RRTS, Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi worth about 1 lakh crore, then today Delhi would not have been a liveable city.”
Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma addressed public meetings in Manakpura in Uttam Nagar candidate Pawan Sharma and Karol Bagh candidate Dushyant Gautam. He said that the people of Delhi have made up their mind to bring Delhi back on the path of development and on February 5, they will free Delhi from the corruption of ‘AAP-DA’.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis claimed that the people of Delhi are now fed up with the corrupt government, the mistake of choosing AAP since 2013. He addressed public meetings in support of New Delhi candidate Pravesh Sahib Singh and Rohini candidate Vijendra Gupta.
Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini addressed a public meeting in support of Greater Kailash Assembly candidate Shikha Rai, stating that Arvind Kejriwal is an anarchist ruler who neither respects the Constitution of the country nor the administrative system. “The way Kejriwal accused the Haryana government and people of giving poisonous water to Delhi for a few votes is a blow to the federal structure of the country,” he said.
Addressing a public meeting in support of Patel Nagar candidate Rajkumar Anand, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said that like the migrants from various other states, the migrants of Rajasthan who have settled in Delhi are also distressed by seeing the plight of Delhi. “They are seeing how Rajasthan has gained momentum of development due to the double engine government and now they want a double engine government in Delhi too,” he stated.
Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami addressed four public meetings in support of Badarpur candidate Narayan Dutt Sharma, Kalkaji candidate Ramesh Bidhuri, Kasturba Nagar candidate Neeraj Basoya and Greater Kailash candidate Shikha Rai.
Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar addressed three public meetings for Moti Nagar candidate Harish Khurana, Mehrauli candidate Gajendra Yadav and RK Puram candidate Anil Sharma.
