BJP state president Bhupendra Chaudhary launched a scathing attack on Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav, accusing him of spreading misinformation and resorting to undemocratic practices during the ongoing by-elections in Uttar Pradesh.
Responding to allegations made by Yadav about voter suppression, Chaudhary dismissed them as a sign of frustration. “Akhilesh Yadav’s accusations reflect his desperation as it is evident that SP is heading towards defeat. The people of Uttar Pradesh have rejected SP’s era of lawlessness and misrule,” he said.
Chaudhary alleged that SP was attempting to disrupt the electoral process. “The SP has deployed its goons and mafia elements to intimidate voters and create an atmosphere of fear. Their aim is to tarnish the sanctity of these elections,” he claimed.
Chaudhary further accused SP of using illegal methods to influence the polls. “Women in burqas are being brought in for fake voting, and outsiders have been called in to disturb the peaceful environment. This is SP’s trademark style of anarchy,” he said.
He claimed that SP’s declining political relevance was causing frustration within the party. “The redness of SP’s caps reflects their dark deeds. They are aware that the people no longer support criminals and anarchists,” Chaudhary stated.
Chaudhary also referred to an alleged incident involving the murder of a Dalit woman, accusing SP leaders of being involved. “The SP’s actions reveal their true character. Instead of addressing such allegations responsibly, Akhilesh Yadav chooses to target the Election Commission and play the victim card,” he said.
The BJP leader rejected SP’s claims of voter suppression as baseless. “If BJP voters are unable to step out and SP voters are being prevented from voting, then who is casting the votes? These allegations are nothing but an attempt to mislead the public,” he said.
Chaudhary defended the role of police in the elections, stating, “The police are only performing their duty by conducting checks. SP should focus on controlling its goons rather than blaming officials.”
He emphasized the BJP’s commitment to free and fair elections. “We have appealed to everyone to come out and vote peacefully. SP’s attempts to manipulate the narrative will not work because the public is aware of their misdeeds,” Chaudhary concluded.
