Work with fast pace to implement schemes: Hafizul Hasan

Minister of Urban Development and Housing Department, Hafizul Hasan, on Tuesday, said that the urban units of the Urban Development Department will have to be alert so that the people of the urban area do not face any kind of problem. Work will have to be done at a fast pace to implement the schemes on the ground, he added.

The Minister said this in a review and coordination committee meeting of the department and also said that the work will have to be done to ensure that open drains do not become the reason for any incident and a development plan will have to be prepared according to the people of the area.

Hasan said that there are many issues in Ranchi Municipal Corporation. “Focus has to be on cleanliness. Drains should not get clogged in the rain, traffic should remain smooth and the problems of the common people should be heard and resolved in the municipal bodies. If there is a need to work even for 12 hours to organize the city and maintain continuity in it, then the officials will have to work. He said that the street lights and high mast lights which are not working should be repaired and the vehicles which are becoming useless due to lack of repair should be repaired and the vehicles which are not worth repairing should be disposed of. Everyone has to work with team spirit,” he added.

Addressing the coordination meeting, Secretary of Urban Development Department, Arwa Rajkamal said that all the water supply schemes which are being worked on in the State, start giving domestic water connections as soon as the trial of those schemes begins. He said that make an action plan so that water schemes are completed on time in all the municipal areas. He said that if the construction work of any scheme is hindered due to non-receipt of NOC from other department, then keep Plan B ready for it.

The Secretary of the Department directed that the Grihapravesh of those houses in the municipal body whose construction work has been completed should be ensured. “If the payment is not made by the beneficiary then home loan should be made available to them through the bank so that the scheme of providing housing to all can be implemented. He said that organization of loan fair for home loan should be ensured,” he added.


In the departmental coordination meeting, guidelines were given in relation to JUIDCO, Swachh Bharat Mission, Amrit Yojana, Urban Water Supply Scheme, Urban Housing Scheme, National Urban Livelihood Mission, RRDA, Light House Project and UC of allotted funds. Mainly Additional Secretary Urban Development Manohar Marandi, Gyanendra Kumar, Director of Urban Administrative Directorate Satyendra Kumar, Ranchi Municipal Corporation Administrator Amit Kumar, Jyotshana Singh, Joint Secretary, Urban Development Department, Assistant Director in the Department Suraj Kumar, Abhilasha Kumari, Anshu Kumari, Smart City General Manager Technical Rakesh Kumar Nandkuliar, Project Director (Finance) JUIDCO Amit Chakraborty, Deputy Project Director JUDCO Utkarsh Mishra along with administrators - executive officers of all the municipal bodies of the State, city managers including officials of Housing Department and Smart City were present in the meeting.
