Vinoba Bhave University (VBU) Hazaribagh celebrated its 33rd Foundation Day on Tuesday.

On this occasion, Governor cum Chancellor Santosh Kumar Gangwar, as the chief guest, congratulated everyone on the foundation day of the university and said that it is the responsibility of all of us to take VBU Hazaribagh to a higher level in the Country.

Gangwar said that he was happy that in this university run in the name of Saint Vinoba Bhave, all the activities for the students are being conducted in a better way but a lot of work is still left in higher education. He said that there are immense possibilities of development in Jharkhand. “A better educational environment will have to be created here. Along with this, there is also a need to improve research. There should be 100 percent compliance of the academic calendar. There is a need to become competitive at the global level,” he added.

“Only technical education will not suffice, along with practical and moral education, knowledge of social responsibility and sensitivity is also necessary. Education that teaches us to discharge our duties and responsibilities towards society and nation must also be studied. That is why Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Government has come up with the National Education Policy 2020. He is happy that VBU is taking steps towards implementing it. NEP is a very flexible, inclusive, education that connects students with innovation,” said the Governor.

Citing the example of the Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Gangwar said that she is always concerned and working in that direction to improve educational institutions. “Taking inspiration from Saint Vinoba Bhave, the pioneer of Bhudan Yagna, we have to remain determined to build a better Nation. Wishing Prime Minister Narendra Modi a happy birthday, he believes that VBU will play an important role in the target set by Modi ji for the creation of a developed India by 2047. Modi has created a different identity for India on the global stage. From an economic point of view, India is ready to establish itself at the third position today and the world is also seeing India in this form,” he added.

Earlier, Vice Chancellor of VBU cum Commissioner of North Chotanagpur Division Suman Kathleen Kispotta welcomed all the scholars and officials present in Vivekanand Auditorium including Gangwar and MP Manish Jaiswal and enumerated the countless achievements of the golden journey of 33 years of the university.
