Sunday, 30 June 2024 | PNS | Gwalior

Restoration campaign of Vaishali river (Murar), which has turned from a river into a drain and is pleading for its existence, will start from July 3. This decision was taken at a meeting held today in the presence of saints.

A special meeting was organized under the leadership of saint society in Goyal Vatika Huravali on Saturday to workout an action plan for the restoration of the river.

During the meeting, the saints gave blessings and appealed to the people of all sections of the society to unite and make this holy and human life related campaign meaningful and successful.

Mahamandaleshwar Ramdas Maharaj said that uninterrupted flow of river is necessary for human life. Ram Bhushan Das Maharaj of Kheneta Dham said that the condition of rivers in India is deteriorating day by day, which is not good for the future. He added that cleaning the river is good for the society. Therefore, we all have to come forward and save the existence of the river.

Haridas Nagaji Maharaj of Jaderua Dham said that rivers have great importance in Indian culture and religion. Saint Kripal Singh Maharaj said that along with humans, animals also get life from rivers. He further said that it is our moral duty to save the river, so that the environment and aquatic environment remains pleasant. Along with the saints, people of all the society should do Shramdaan together.

Sant Santosh Guru said that when a man moves towards doing charity, his nature moves towards divinity. The resolution to restore the river, which is yearning for existence, to its original form will be fulfilled only with social participation. Premanand Maharaj of Laltipara Gaushala said that in the modern environment, people are forgetting their culture, civilization and traditions. River is like a mother. It should be respected. Human life exists only when the river is alive.

Saint Gopal Sharan said that the resolution taken for the restoration of Murar river is excellent. He added that he himself will join in this campaign. He concluded by saying that from cleaning to planting trees, he will cooperate in every possible way with body, mind and money.
