In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, efforts are underway to beautify and adorn Prayagraj, ensuring that Maha Kumbh 2025 is a majestic event that offers an enriching spiritual experience.

The Yogi government has allocated a budget of Rs 2,600 crore for the entire event, and at the same time, has sought CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) funds from organisations for enhancing arrangements and amenities at the Maha Kumbh Mela area. The Mahakumbh Mela Authority has invited government and non-governmental organisations to take part in the mega event by making CSR contributions.

It is worth mentioning, the Mela Authority is meticulously preparing for Maha Kumbh 2025 to enhance the experiences of devotees, pilgrims, tourists, representatives of religious and voluntary organisations, as well as saints who would be coming to the event from across the globe.

Participating organisations will have the opportunity to serve crores of devotees through their CSR funds and contribute to making this monumental event a global benchmark, aligning with government efforts to elevate its stature on the world stage.

The government and non-governmental organisations can participate in Maha Kumbh 2025 by contributing to technology, health facilities, water, sanitation and hygiene, sustainability, safety and security, culture and heritage, infrastructure enhancement, diversity and inclusion initiatives, and mobility.

Participating in this grand event provides organisations with a platform to showcase their services and products to a global audience. Their contributions can significantly enrich the experience of millions of devotees, earning them people’s appreciation and support. This engagement also fosters strong community bonds and enhances organisational visibility.

Along with the Mela Authority, these organisations can contribute to making the Maha Kumbh Mela accessible to everyone. They will play a vital role in improving the devotees’ experience and ensuring the event is fulfilling from a spiritual perspective. Additionally, through digital interventions, they can make the event beneficial for the devotees and help establish it as a cultural legacy.

The Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj will be held from January 13, 2025 to February 25, 2025. The mela area, spread over 40,000 hectares, is divided into 25 sectors. Each sector will have essential facilities related to health, cleanliness and security, along with camps, offices and community areas.

The Yogi government is striving to make this event safe, accident-free and memorable. Prayagraj is being developed as a benchmark smart city. Efforts are being made to enhance the experience of devotees by using technology alongside tradition. Dedicated facilities are being established for citizens in Prayagraj and the fair area.

Notably, 1.6 lakh tents are being set up, while a parking area is being created over 1,800 hectares. Ghats stretching 12 kilometres are being equipped with facilities for devotees. The Mela Authority is expanding its capacity to be able to accommodate an estimated 40 crore devotees. It is also estimated that around six crore devotees may attend the Maha Kumbh during the Mauni Amavasya from January 27 to January 30.
