Suresh Gopi, Minister of State for Petroleum and Natural Gas and Tourism, Government of India, on Friday reviewed the Transformation of Aspirational District Program (TADP) under the Aspirational District Program in the meeting room of the District Council Office. In the meeting, the indicators set under the Aspirational District were reviewed and instructions were given to all the concerned departments to achieve 100 percent achievement.
Under the topic of health and nutrition, points like prenatal checkup, anemia, sickle cell test, cleanliness, clean drinking water etc. were discussed. Also said that use of clean water is necessary to stay healthy. In case of delivery at home, instructions were given to have it under the supervision of a skilled birth attendant. Instructions were given to make better arrangements in community health centres. Under health and nutrition, topics like sex ratio, institutional delivery, hemoglobin testing, breastfeeding by newborn, identification of TB patients etc. were discussed and instructions were given.
On the subject of education, the transition of students from primary to secondary was discussed and instructions were given to take better initiatives for this, provision of girls toilet, drinking water, running water, electricity in schools, provision of textbooks at the beginning of the session. The system was also reviewed. Children were instructed to use less sugar in Ragi Laddus in schools. Under the subject of Agriculture and Water Resources, the status of Micro Irrigation, Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, FPO in the district was reviewed. Instructions were given to LDM and District Agriculture Officer to provide KCC loan to the farmers.
After the meeting, the Minister of State inspected the Industrial Sewing Center in Kisko block. Thereafter, under the dialogue programme, he interacted with the women at the sewing center and observed the products made by various agricultural product groups. The mobile mini hospital was also inspected by the Minister of State. Deputy Commissioner Dr Waghmare Prasad Krishna, Deputy Development Commissioner Dilip Pratap Singh Shekhawat, all district level officials and others were present in the programme.
