Significant progress has been made in the field of education nationwide. However, educational institutions should not only focus on academics but also impart values and moral principles to students. Our aim should be to instill these values in students along with classroom education, said renowned environmentalist and the Tree Man of India, Vishnu Lamba, during the 'A Tree for Mother' mega plantation drive organized by the Prestige Education Foundation at the Prestige University, organized in collaboration with the Indore Municipal Corporation.
Lamba emphasized the importance of guiding students toward innovation and encouraged them to participate in the mega plantation campaign.
He stressed that environmental protection is not solely the responsibility of any party or government, but rather requires the collective efforts of the people. Lamba praised the people of Indore for their dedication to environmental conservation. He noted that in his travels to many cities over the past seven years, he had not seen the same level of enthusiasm and eagerness to participate in public activities as in Indore. As the brand ambassador of the 'A Tree for Mother' campaign, Lamba attributed Indore's consecutive wins as the cleanest city in India over the past seven years to the collective participation of its residents.
He expressed confidence that thanks to the local enthusiasm for environmental protection, Indore will soon earn the title of the greenest city in India. After touring the Prestige University campus and being impressed by its architecture, Lamba likened the experience to visiting world-renowned institutions like Nalanda and Taxila.
Davish Jain, Chancellor of Prestige University, emphasized that all academic institutions under the Prestige Education Foundation prioritize imparting moral education and values, alongside classroom education. These principles are integrated into the curriculum across all institutions within the group, asserted Dr. Jain.
Rajendra Nargundkar, Vice-Chancellor of Prestige University, provided insights into the university's vision and educational programs. Dr. Deepak Jarolia, Senior Faculty of Prestige Institute of Management Research (PG Courses), presented a memento to Lamba.
