A tractor overturned on Friday night in Chaupra located in Bhopal's Sukhi Sewania police station area. The driver died after being trapped under the tractor for 40 minutes. The police straightened the tractor with the help of a crane, then the body could be taken out. The police have registered a case and started investigation in the matter. After the postmortem on Saturday, the body has been handed over to the family.
ASI Dilip Jaiswal said - Mathura Prasad (55) was a resident of Chaupra village. He used to drive a tractor. Sowing was to be done in a field in the village early Saturday morning. Mathura was called for this. At 8 o'clock on Friday night, he went out to park the tractor on the field. He took the tractor down on the dirt road leading to the field from the main road of the village.
This caused his tractor to overturn. He got buried under it. The local people and the police somehow straightened the tractor and pulled out the person buried under it.
After this, he was taken to the hospital, where the doctors declared him dead. The deceased has four daughters and a son. The elder daughter is married. Investigation has been started by registering a case. It was found that after the heavy rains on Thursday-Friday night, the incident spot was filled with water. Due to this the road was slippery and the tractor got imbalanced as soon as it entered the mud.
