Special Court of Justice Manoj Kumar Singh has sentenced the officials of the District Cooperative and Rural Development Bank and the buyer who bought the land fraudulently to three years of imprisonment.
The accused include the then General Manager Ashok Mukharayya, Manager Vinod Deval, Sales Officer Vijendra Kaushal, Cooperative Inspector APS Kushwaha and buyer Paramjeet Baidi. The case was under trial against all of them under Section 420, 120-B IPC 13-1 (D) and 13 (2) PC Act. The court, finding all the accused guilty, has imposed a fine of Rs 10,000 and sentenced them to 3 years of imprisonment.
The people of village Begonia, Kalyanpur had made a written complaint in the Lokayukta office. In this complaint, the District Cooperative Agriculture and Rural Development Bank Bhopal officials did not recover the loan in village Barkheda Nathu Ratibad in violation of the provisions of the Bank Act 1999.
After this, without following the rules and conditions for loan recovery from movable and immovable property, the bank officials auctioned about 2.61 acres of land of village Barkheda Nathu Ratibad at a low price of only Rs. 50000 to Paramjeet Baidi.
Student drowns
A student of class IX drowned in the Upper Lake in front of Vardhman Park located in Shyamala Hills police station area of Bhopal.
The incident was reported on Friday evening, he had gone to take bath with his friends.
On Saturday, the body was found and fished out from the pond. The police have registered a case in the matter. The accident is being investigated.
According to the police, Sahil Vishwakarma (15) of Industrial Area Semra. He was a student of class IX from a private school.
On Friday, he had reached the big pond to take bath with his friends Yashwant, Rahul Sharma and Bhola Yadav living in the locality. He did not know how to swim, he was learning to take bath by tying a can on his back.
He climbed a big stone and jumped into the pond. Meanwhile, he went into deep water and did not come out again. The can tied on his back came out of the water. The friends raised an alert and asked for help.
