Earlier, prior to participating in the road show, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a busy day in Jharkhand as he addressed two rallies at Chandankiyari and Gumla respectively.
While addressing an election rally in Chandankyari of Bokaro district of Jharkhand, PM Modi fiercely attacked JMM and Congress. He said that there is a strong storm in favor of BJP in Jharkhand. This plateau of Chhota Nagpur is also saying: Roti-Beti-Mati ki pukar, BJP-NDA government in Jharkhand. PM Modi said that BJP-NDA has only one mantra here - we have made Jharkhand, we will improve Jharkhand. Such people will never develop Jharkhand, who have been against the creation of Jharkhand state.
The Prime Minister said that 10 years ago, from 2004 to 2014, there was a Congress government at the center, Madam Sonia ji used to run the government and Manmohan Singh ji was made the Prime Minister. At that time, the central government had given 80 thousand crore rupees to Jharkhand with great difficulty in 10 years. After 2014, the government changed in Delhi, you gave your servant Modi a chance to serve and in the last 10 years, we have given more than 3 lakh crore rupees to Jharkhand.
BJP wanted that the poor should get concrete houses, good roads should be built in cities and villages, electricity and water should be available, there should be medical facilities, education facilities, water for irrigation, medicines in old age. But in the last 5 years of JMM government, these facilities that were your right were looted by the people of JMM and Congress.
Now you have decided to form BJP-NDA government. I promise you that after the government is formed, we will fight the entire battle in the court to get these corrupts the severest punishment. The money that is your right will be spent on you, it will be spent for you, it will be spent for the future of your children.
We send the money of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi directly to the bank accounts of the farmers of Jharkhand and they get the entire amount. Similarly, there are many works of highways, railways and airports on which the central government directly spends, no one gets a chance to cut in the middle. Our government has also spent lakhs of crores of rupees in Jharkhand. The BJP-NDA government is promoting new industries. We are also opening old factories lying closed in Jharkhand. The fertilizer factory of Sindri was also closed due to the bad policies of the previous governments. We started the Sindri fertilizer factory. This has provided employment to thousands of youth of Jharkhand.
In the rally in Jharkhand's Gumla, PM Modi also said that former Indian Prime Ministers, from Congress, ignored the recommendations for reservation to the OBC community.
"The Congress party has always been opposed to the OBC (Other Backward Classes) from the very beginning. Kaka Saheb Kalelkar said in 1955 that the backward classes should be given reservation. Jawaharlal Nehru put the files in the cold storage. In 1980, the Mandal Commission recommended that OBCs should receive reservations. Indira Gandhi also put the file in the cold storage," PM Modi said in Gumla.
PM Modi also outlined the policies introduced by his government while speaking in Gumla and said that it was his regime that granted 27 per cent reservation to backward classes in all the central institutions across the country.
"When my government came into power, it gave 27 per cent reservation to the backward classes in all central institutions. We also granted constitutional status to the Backward Classes Commission, the Varanasi MP said.
